Purpose of Role
The role of the Service Technician is to conduct the assembly, testing, delivery, commissioning, installation and repair of projects for the subsea sector. This includes assisting completion of all production documentation (Jobcards, Check Lists, Inspection and FAT Reports). Works are to be conducted within the workshop environment and on site at our clients facilities/vessels working with light and heavy engineering fabrications.
Promotion of the companys design & build quality without compromising safety, code, regulations and legislation.
Key responsibilities
Lead or assist with assembly of complex structural assemblies to technical drawings
Liaise with the Project Engineering Team when conducting the Lead on a Project Task
Ensuring a quality build and following assembly & inspection procedures.
Provide technical assistance for customers, which may involve site visits of both a national and international nature both offshore & onshore.
Assist with fault finding and detailed service reporting when conducting service work.
Identify areas for Continuous Improvement.
Mentoring and Training of juniors
Maintenance of Workshop Equipment, Tools and Environment
Promotion of Quality, efficiency and high standard of work ethic.
To assist the engineering team conducting tasks as detailed by the Head of Construction.
Qualifications
HNC in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)
Level 3 Qualification in an Engineering discipline
Experience
At least 5 years in similar fitting role within a manufacturing environment.

Hydraulic & electrical fitting skills
Rigging, overhead crane competence
Supervisory skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
ROV handling equipment operation
Pipe repair
Pipeline sealing solution design
Pressure vessel codes, ASME VIII, ASME IX
Hydraulic circuits including HPU design
Basic electrical schematics / Electrical fault finding
Hydrostatic testing
Ability to understand hydraulic schematics and circuitry
Polyurethane Production.
