Guidant Global are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives on behalf of our client Capita, as part of a project with the Standards Testing Agency.

Start date: 6th May 2025

Job type: Temporary contract until 22nd June 2025, with opportunities for extension.

Location: Darlington, DL1 1AX

Hours: Full time

Choice of Shift - confirmed prior to commencement.

Mon - Fri 06:00 - 14:00

Mon - Fri 14:00 - 22:00

Pay: Hourly, paid on a weekly basis.

AM Shift £12.95ph

PM Shift £13.95ph only applicable if working after 8PM at night

A discretionary bonus is also available upon completion of the assignment.

Job Description

We are looking for candidates to work in a fast-paced, warehouse environment and support on the Standards Testing Agency's annual processing of exam papers for school students.

Working in the Prep department, the team are responsible for working on opening packages, checking and processing batches of scripts from schools.

The operational area is in an open plan warehouse environment. It is stationed at high benches due to the requirement to retrieve each package individually from a conveyor belt situated behind you so there is a lot of movement to and from PC and conveyor as a 'one package at a time' process is critical.

High stools are provided but standing is preferred by most staff as there is a lot of movement for transferring of packages, manual handling will also be needed.

  • Data Entry/Indexing Data
  • Warehouse picking of files
  • Updating CRM systems with confidential data
  • Reading and Reporting information
  • Scanning and Printing Documents
  • Light Manual Handling Duties
  • Working to strict deadlines
