Pension Administrator

Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)

Location: Darlington (Hybrid Working)

This role offers the opportunity to work within our dynamic Benefits business unit, encompassing Employee Benefits and Administration. We are looking for a dedicated Pension Administrator who is passionate about providing exceptional member service and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for pension scheme members, handling inquiries and providing support through various communication channels including telephone, email, and post.
  • Perform daily administrative tasks related to pension schemes such as payroll processing, bereavement support, correspondence, complaints handling, complex calculations, data capture, retirements, and transfers.
  • Work closely with the Employer Support and Administration Services teams to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service delivery.
  • Engage with members and provide clear, compassionate, and professional communication.
  • Support the administration of third-party client services as part of the Operations team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in pension administration, particularly with defined contributions.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant pension knowledge.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Passionate about continuous learning and professional development in the pension administration field.
