We are recruiting for a Lead Occupational Therapist for a hospital that provides individualised treatment and care for people with mental health needs of adults who present with complex and challenging behaviours, in a safe and supportive environment. This comprehensive integrated services offer complete care pathways allowing service users to transfer effortlessly between the most appropriate care, meeting individual needs enabling recovery and re-engagement within the community and maximising life opportunities.
The multi-disciplinary teams provide care for up to 107 male and female service users, working collaboratively with their commissioners, across our 8 wards. Focus is on the delivery of excellent care, empowering service users to progress towards the least restrictive setting and towards independence. The vision is to place Service Users at the heart of the service provision, working closely with them and their carers to support their recovery and rehabilitation.

Salary £50,952 dependant on experience
Hours 37.5 hours per week
Permanent - Full Time
As the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will provide clinical, professional and operational leadership to the Occupational Therapy (OT) service, to ensure OT services are proactive and supportive of company objectives.
Work closely with multi-disciplinary colleagues across the hospital site to support integration around patient care. To deliver a highly specialised and advanced standard of OT assessment, treatment and management for patients.
Ensure that own practice and service meets agreed local and national standards and clinical governance requirements, including COT Standards for Practice, Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
Participate in site service quality improvement initiatives including conducting investigations and Quality monitoring assurance objectives and clinical audit
Oversee student placements within the OT team.
Attend all site required meetings including Clinical Governance and Patient Safety and represent the OT department. Attend Regional OT meetings and feedback to site
Take responsibility for identified budget responsibilities related to role for example; the therapy activity budget.
