The RoleNigel Wright are supporting a manufacturing business with their search for a Customer Service Administrator to join their established team in Darlington. The Office & Customer Service Administrator is responsible for the overall administration of the office functions and control of the management system documents. This position is also responsible for providing coverage for customer services and the accounts team.Duties:
  • Ensure all front and back office administration functions are performed efficiently and effectively, priority on export customer service support.
  • Answering the phone and directing incoming calls to the relevant person or function
  • Issuing all export documentation for overseas orders and samples (liaising with a third party)
  • Dealing with export customers 
  • Organising inspection of orders if required
  • Checking freight forwarder transport documents
  • Dealing with accounts when orders involve cash against documents or letters of credit
  • Liaising with customers regarding customs and delivery dates
  • Invoicing and sending original documents to the customer
  • Assist the with sales queries
  • Chase overdue payments from export customers and at times UK customers
  • Participate in site safety and environmental initiatives. 
  • Provide support to the accounts team as required.
  • Ensure administration processes are accurately documented and change tracked in order to support ISO audits
The PersonSkills/Attributes:
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite. 
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain key stakeholder relationship. 
  • Demonstrate high level of attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality and integrity. 
  • Superior organisation, time management and problem-solving skills. 
  • Self-sufficient and resourceful to respond to evolving tasks and requirements. 
  • Quick Learner and able to take ownership of the position.
  • Strong administrative and customer service skills
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an equivalent position within an office environment / administration experience.
  • Experience in shipment of dangerous goods both within the UK and export.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Business Central.
