Job Description:

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Year 6 Supply Teacher to join our team, providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences in the Darlington area. This role is a temporary position starting in October 2024 and running until January 2025, offering a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to make a significant impact on students' academic journey during their crucial final year of primary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 6 students, following the National Curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs and abilities of students.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
  • Assess and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency in the students' education.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, promoting a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2 students.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
  • A current, valid DBS check registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
