This Quality Systems Manager position is a key role within the Distribution Centre, being a representative for quality and food safety, managing and maintaining the DC Quality Management System, located in Darlington. This role would be ideal for a Quality Auditor looking to step up and be responsible for the sites food safety and management systems (no people management).

Description

  • Oversee and manage the entire quality management system in the Distribution Centre.
  • To liaise with the Quality Management Team and Suppliers, on food quality/safety and packaging issues.
  • Implement and monitor protocols to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate staff training on quality control measures.
  • Address and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics team to improve quality procedures.
  • Report on quality metrics and performance.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's quality assurance strategy.

Profile

A successful Quality Manager should have:

  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Knowledge and experience of HACCP and ISO
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Legislation
  • Food Process knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Internal Auditing training or the equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of QMS management.
  • Knowledge and experience of Pest Control Management systems.
  • Understanding of the FSSC22000 food safety standard
