Working on a temporary to permanent basis with our manufacturing client who was established over a quarter of a century ago, we are recruiting for an experienced Sewing Room Operative

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30

This is a crucial role in the production of high quality textile products. You should have previously used various sewing machines, worked to detailed patterns & ensure products meet high standards of quality in a clean, organised and safe working environment

Key Responsibilities;

Operate various sewing machines including industrial, overlook and embroidery

Adjust machine settings for different tasks and materials

Cut fabric with precision according to patterns

Prepare materials for sewing, ensuring they are correctly aligned and ready for assembly

Assemble curtains, cushions, bedding sets etc products to design specifications

Perform finishing tasks, such as hemming, adding buttons and zippers

Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards

Make necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure product quality

Followed detailed sewing instructions and patterns accurately

Perform routine maintenance on sewing machines and equipment

Maintain accurate records of production output

Work effectively with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets
