Alexander Lloyd are pleased to be partnering with a Transforming Pension Administration Service on the key hire of a Pension Administration Manager based from their Darlington office on a hybrid working model.

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and driven Administration Manager to lead the Pension Administration teams, ensuring a high-quality, member-first service for trustees, employers, and members alike. In this pivotal role, you will focus on delivering a "right-first-time" approach, achieving service level agreements (SLAs) and maintaining commitment to excellence in customer experience.

Your ability to analyse operational insights and manage resources proactively will be critical in overcoming challenges and maintaining seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and support the BAU processing teams to deliver a high-quality pension administration service.
  • Ensure SLA targets and member-first measures are consistently met.
  • Utilise management information (MI) and operational insights to anticipate and address resource requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and mentorship, supporting team development and adaptability through change.

  • Proven operational experience in the pensions sector, managing and motivating teams to deliver excellent results.
  • Defined Benefit Pensions knowledge!
  • A track record of successfully leading teams through change initiatives and embedding continuous improvement practices.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to act decisively and at pace in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the resilience to handle challenges effectively.
  • A collaborative and supportive leadership style, focused on coaching and mentoring team members to excel.
