About the Role

Vision for Education is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join our team, working with secondary schools across Darlington. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT/ECT) looking to make a positive impact on young learners.

As a PE Teacher, you’ll inspire and motivate students to enjoy physical activity, develop healthy habits, and achieve their personal best in a supportive and inclusive environment. You will deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students are challenged, encouraged, and supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a variety of learning needs and abilities.
  • Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
  • Foster a love of sport and active lifestyles in students.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, as required.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be an NQT/ECT with a specialism in Physical Education.
  • Have recent teaching experience in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Be passionate about physical education and promoting well-being among young people.
  • Possess excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Be adaptable, proactive, and committed to making a difference.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service.
