Trainee Classroom Cover Teacher

Salary: £100 - £110 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

As a Trainee Classroom Cover Teacher, you’ll step confidently into the classroom and lead lessons for up to 30 students in the absence of their usual teacher. Don’t worry—you don’t need to be a subject specialist! Lesson plans are always provided in advance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and facilitating the learning of pre-planned lessons.
• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment.
• Taking accurate attendance registers.
• Providing a handover for the class teacher.

This role is ideal for those looking to gain hands-on experience in schools before applying for Initial Teacher Training (ITT).

Previous experience in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential—we’ll train and support you every step of the way!
