SEN IT Teacher (Fixed Term)

We are seeking an SEN IT Teacher to cover a maternity leave for the remainder of the academic year. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about using their IT specialism to enhance the educational experiences of pupils with autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD, and associated complex needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, organise, and deliver well-structured IT lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and interests of pupils.
  • Monitor and assess the learning progress of each student, making necessary adjustments to your teaching strategy.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to education and care.
  • Provide a stable, supportive environment that fosters learning and development.
  • Engage with pupils to understand their needs and ensure their well-being.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in IT.
  • Experience in teaching and supporting young people with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to handle the challenges that come with working in an SEN environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effective teamwork and clear interaction with pupils.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and execute lessons that meet the specific needs of pupils.
