MOBILE TYRE AND ALLOY TECHNICIAN.

Stephen James BMW is looking for a Mobile Tyre & Alloy Technician to join the Alloy Repair Team. This is a great opportunity to develop your career with one of the world’s most admired brands in the automotive industry.

YOUR ROLE.

As a Mobile Tyre & Alloy Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in our alloy repair team. Your day begins by picking up your van from Mercedes-Benz & smart of Dartford and collecting damaged alloys. You’ll then visit our various centres in Southeast London and Kent, transporting all alloys to the Enfield workshop. After completing the cycle, you’ll head back to the centres and return and fit the repaired alloy wheels.

You’ll be the face of our business, interacting with customers and performing technical work. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, independent, and forward-thinking.

The main duties of the role include:

  • Drive a Mercedes Sprinter Van
  • Safely jack up vehicles and remove alloy wheels for repair as instructed.
  • Accurately label and record all alloys and the work being done.
  • Return repaired alloys to the correct vehicle and axle.
  • Be proficient in removing and refitting alloy wheels, including managing tyre pressures and torque settings for specific vehicles.
  • Collaborate with onsite coordinators to efficiently manage collections and deliveries, maximising repair workloads.

YOUR PROFILE.

  • Previous experience as a tyre fitter, alloy wheel technician or SMART technician.
  • Strong communication skills and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity and proficient driving skills.
  • Have a passion for customer service, with the ability to build rapport and trust effortlessly.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid, clean UK Driving Licence for at least one year.

Basic salary £27,500 per annum with an OTE of £32,300 per annum
