The role Line Leaders
Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Line Leader for our client in Fresh Produce based in Dartford in Kent . In this role you will be responsible for delivery of daily packing plan ensuring all orders are packed to customer specification within agreed time restraints and KPIs. The role will be working 5 days out of 7 every other weekend starts 6.45am daily .
The Person
Ideally to have minimum of 1 years experience working within a production facility with experience managing packing lines or similar type of work. Knowledge of fresh produce packing requirements and produce quality expectations is required for this role along with good written and verbal skills , good understanding of English with excellent time management skills with the ability to work with a variety of cross-functional team members
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivering the daily packing plan in line with customer specifications and KPIs
- Ensuring risk assessments, audits, and inspections are carried out and followed through
- Leading health & safety compliance, including incident reporting and investigations
- Making sure correct packaging, labels, and line setup procedures are followed
- Monitoring and maintaining continuous line operations during the shift
- Leading and coaching a team of production operatives to hit performance targets
- Reviewing KPIs hourly and updating the team on progress
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure effective communication
- Ensuring accurate documentation of packing job information
