We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator with a background in sheet metal /fabrication to join an established provider of large-scale heating and ventilation products in Kent. This role involves operating and maintaining a Spiral Tube Forming machines, ensuring the production of high-quality spiral tubes, and managing raw material stocks effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience with forming machinery and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Operate the onsite Spiral Tube Forming machine to produce spirally wound tubes, ensuring all products meet the company’s specifications and tolerances.
• Maintain adequate stocks of standard sizes and liaise with the sales office to meet special requirements and project orders.
• Process manufacturing orders accurately, from receipt to completion, ensuring satisfaction from the sales office.
• Keep the production area clean and tidy, adhering to the company’s policy on Neatness & Order.
• Regularly perform general maintenance and cleaning of the Spiral Forming machine as per the maintenance task sheet.
• Liaise with the Spiral Machine Maintenance department for any repairs, services, or breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with counterbalance Forklift Truck (current licence required).
• Previous experience in a similar role or environment, particularly with forming machinery.
• Industry/product knowledge is beneficial
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
