About the role:
We are seeking a self-motivated, well-organised individual who will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing client relationships in the Southeast. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential projects and opportunities, setting realistic growth targets, and contributing to the company’s sales strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and industry partners
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- To represent the brand and take responsibility for the sale of capital equipment in a given sales territory
- To achieve agreed sales targets as specified.
- To provide all necessary information to the Sales Support department to facilitate order processing and machine delivery
- Accurate and timely completion of all sales related documents i.e., warranty, service contracts etc.
- To utilise and maintain CRM system encompassing call planning, sales opportunities, market intelligence, competitive activity and forecasting
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads
- To maintain close liaison with customers and other departments to ensure the promotion of exemplary customer service.
Experience and Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of plant industry
- Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Strong communication skills and excellent presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team – desirable
- Vast experience of working in a similar role and industry – desirable
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets – desirable
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools – desirabl
