Apprentice Nursery Assistant / Childcare Assistant who is caring, supportive, encouraging and enjoys working with young children is required for a friendly team based in Dartford, Kent.
APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROVIDED
Ideally you will be Level 2 qualified in Childcare (or equivalent). But the company is open to unqualified candidates who are eager to learn. However, successful candidates will be required to undertake training to achieve a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
SALARY: up to £12.21 per Hour + Uniform + Free Parking

DUTIES
Your duties as an Apprentice Nursery Assistant / Childcare Assistant include:
- Assist in providing high-quality childcare and ensuring the needs of all children are met
- Support the staff to provide an environment where children can learn, grow, and develop
- Ensure that the nursery environment reflects the cultural diversity of all children
- Use inclusive learning methods to support the development of all children
- Assist with nappy changes, feeding, and other personal care tasks
- Adhere to health and safety policies and ensure best childcare practices and standards are maintained
- Help market the nursery to prospective parents, supporting with event planning and participation on opening day
- Work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure the nursery’s high standards are met
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
As an Apprentice Nursery Assistant / Childcare Assistant you will have the following attributes:
- Punctuality is essential, as the nursery cannot cancel on parents
- A hands-on, active approach to working with children
- Willing to undertake training to achieve a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
- A willingness to learn and a positive attitude toward professional growth
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when needed
Successful candidates will undergo a DBS check
