Children’s Home ManagerLocation: Dartford, KentPay: £17.07 - £19.33 per hourShift Pattern: 5 days on (08:00 – 16:30), 3 days off, then 5 days on (13:30 – 22:00), 2 days offMyn is proud to be recruiting for a long-term client, seeking a compassionate and experienced Children’s Home Manager. In this rewarding role, you will support unaccompanied asylum-seeking children by ensuring a safe and nurturing environment in line with the highest standards.The Role:You’ll assist the Registered Manager with the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading a team of Residential Support Workers.Overseeing day-to-day care and safeguarding of the children.
  • Ensuring the home meets Ofsted standards and maintaining professional relationships with inspectors.
  • Conducting handovers and assigning tasks to staff, ensuring completion.
  • Quality checking records on Liberi and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Managing incidents and ensuring timely reporting.
What You’ll Need:
  • Proven experience in a children’s home or similar care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted guidelines.
  • Leadership skills to manage and support your team effectively.
  • Ability to respond to safeguarding concerns and manage incidents.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for working with vulnerable children, particularly unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.
