Production Design Engineer - Kent - up to 50,000 + Benefits - REF 1873

I am currently recruiting for a Production Design Engineer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Kent. Salary up to 50,000 + Benefits.

The organisation has been in operation for over 30 years, employ more than 50 specialists within their respective disciplines and design and manufacture their products within the UK that get exported across the globe to a very high specification.

To support the growth of the business and in line with current project demands they have found the need to create a completely new role and appoint a Production Design Engineer on a permanent basis.

In this role as a Production Design Engineer, you will act as the interface between sales, design, operations, production and quality. Your primary responsibly will be to action the necessary requests from the respective departments with a view of finding the appropriate resolutions. These requests could include components coming in from suppliers that aren't in line with the specification, components have become obsolete and where do you source a new applicable component from, a product isn't assembling as it should. You will also be expected to look at customer returns, conduct the necessary failure investigations to establish what's occurred and how to prevent this from reoccurring or whether it's an isolated issue. Where there are build issues, you will need to update build sheets with the correct information.

Essential Requirements:

- Degree in an applicable Engineering discipline (Ideally Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering)
- At least 2 years experience
- 3D CAD (ideally Solidworks)

Desirable Requirements:

- Experience with a PDM

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Production Design Engineer to join a company that has aggressively grown in recent years and projections suggest this is to continue to cope with the demand for their products. As a result, this would prove to be a stable opportunity in a forward-thinking company, where progression is readily available for the right individual upon successful contributions to the company.

This is an immediate requirement, so if you have the required skills and experience, please get in touch immediately with an up to date copy of your CV. Either apply direct or contact Harry on (phone number removed).
