We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join a leader in urban landscaping with focus on landscape construction, grounds maintenance and internal planting.

Our client is passionate about enhancing environments in which people live, work and play.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious, highly motivated Business Development Representative who can work alone and successfully as part of a team.

This is a hands-on role which will continue to manage ongoing client relationships.in addition to the generation on new business.

Key Duties

In this role, you will focus on identifying and targeting new opportunities, particularly through outbound calls and cold calling, but with a more measured approach. A key part of your responsibilities will be researching upcoming tenders, building and maintaining a strong client database, and managing client communications to ensure long-term, strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Cold Calling: Conduct outbound calls to potential clients, particularly targeting new business opportunities within specific sectors, while nurturing relationships and identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Tender Research & Tracking: Research and stay updated on upcoming tenders, ensuring you are always aware of new opportunities and when they are due for release.
  • CRM Management: Manage the CRM system by adding new clients, updating lead statuses, and tracking client interactions. Ensure accurate and up-to-date data is available for all sales activities.
  • Database Growth: Strategically grow and maintain a robust client database, identifying key contacts and decision-makers, and tracking opportunities for future development.
  • Strategic Client Communication: Develop and send targeted email campaigns to prospects, sharing relevant information about services and upcoming opportunities to ensure sustained engagement.
  • Account Management Duties: While the role is focused on business development, you’ll also take on responsibilities similar to account management by maintaining strong relationships with clients, following up on quotes, and ensuring continued engagement throughout the sales cycle.
  • Sales Targeting & Reporting: Work toward achieving sales goals, with clear tracking and reporting on activities, outreach, and progress toward closing new business.

This role is full time, Monday through to Friday and based at our London office.

Proven sales experience, strategic management of identifying opportunities and CRM proficiency is essential. Prior experience with cold calling and building relationships with clients is preferred.
