Site ManagerDartford, DA1Rates: £450 - £500 per day 6 month contract

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the London Power Tunnels 2 project. This role involves overseeing daily site operations, managing teams, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership & Team Management:

    • Lead and manage on-site teams to deliver project objectives.

    • Oversee subcontractors to ensure timely and quality work.

    • Foster team competency and address risks effectively.

  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Implement and monitor safe work systems.

    • Conduct safety tours and support incident investigations.

    • Ensure quality outcomes and promote sustainable practices.

  • Planning & Reporting:

    • Manage project records and report progress.

    • Prepare internal and external reports.

    • Update the site lookahead programme using APHEX software.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Drive improvement initiatives and support strategic goals.

    • Incorporate sustainability into project planning.

Who We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor, SEATS.

  • National Grid Competent Person (NSI 4 or NSI 6&8), EUSR Cat One.

  • Experience in civil works and National Grid projects.

  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with power transmission projects and APHEX.

  • Proficiency with O365 and project management software.

  • Driving license and underground/tunnel experience.
