Workshop Manager Job Overview
- Manage, motivate, and guide workshop staff to achieve performance targets.
- Oversee and perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring the availability of equipment and tools.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Plan and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines and operational demands.
- Implement and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop.
- Liaise with clients to understand and meet their service requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inventory, and performance metrics, and provide reports to senior management.
Workshop Manager Job Requirements
- Proven experience in workshop or operations management, preferably in the plant & tool or equipment supply industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for team and client interactions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and logistical issues effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of workshop safety standards and practice
Workshop Manager Salary & Benefits
- 40,000-50,000 Salary dependant on experience
- 45 hour working week
