Position: Decorator/Maintenance OperativeLocation: Darent Valley Hospital, DartfordContract Type: Temporary on-goingStart Date: ASAP - March 2025Contract Length: 2 monthsWorking Pattern: Full Time - Monday - Friday (8:00 - 16:30)Pay: £14. 64 per hour
Level 3 NVQ Or 5 years experience in painting and decorating/handyman duties required
As a Trade painter/Maintenance Operator you will assist the Estates Management Team in delivering a customer focused cost effective and efficient Estates Service. This includes Planned Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance and other Estates Services as required in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Carry out and assist with, Planned maintenance, repair and improvements.
- Install new furnishings and equipment when required
- Diagnose and repair faults on systems and furnishings.
- Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings and fittings.
- Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner.
- Maintain stock control systems as directed.
- Maintain the cleanliness of wards, corridors and other units i.e office , workshops and storage areas.
- Work safely, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, customers and visitors.
- You will have knowledge and experience with painting and handyman works
The ideal candidate will have:

For non-supervisory roles performs skilled work requiring technical training (NVQ3 or equivalent)

Up to 3 years business experience, Level 3 NVQ or Certificate Level of Qualification.

Or over 5years experience in painting and decorating/handyman duties.
- A Clear Basic DBS
