They are currently looking for a Credit Controller for their office based in Dartford.

About the Role:As a Credit Controller, you’ll play a vital role in managing the sales ledger, ensuring accurate cash allocation, and maintaining strong customer relationships to maximise cash collection. You’ll have the chance to work on exciting accounts across various sectors and bring fresh ideas to enhance processes in a fast-paced, supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Credit Controller:

  • Manage and allocate cash receipts across Ingredients, Food Services, and Retail accounts.

  • Proactively engage with customers to ensure timely payments and resolve queries.

  • As a Credit Controller you will oversee the setup of new customer accounts, including credit checks.

  • As a Credit Controller you will ensure invoices are accurately raised, distributed, and received.

  • Report regularly to the Credit Control Manager on sales ledger updates and problem accounts.

  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to ensure high service standards.

  • As a Credit Controller you will handle disputes and negotiate payments to align with terms.

  • Contribute to process improvements to optimize efficiency and cash collection.

What We’re Looking For in a Credit Controller:

  • Experience: At least 2 years in Credit Control or Customer Services (FMCG/product experience desirable).

  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus.

  • Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented, proactive, resilient, and a strong communicator. You’re a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves.
