We are currently have a brand new opportunity for an electrical design engineer to join a well-established controls and automation company based in the Dartford area. The company specialises in bespoke electrical solutions within the switchgear industry.
Responsibilities:
• Producing detailed designs using CAD software to enable production of control panel / switchgear arrangements & products to customer requirements.
• Collaborate with project engineers to develop control panel / switchgear arrangements & products to customer requirements.
• Collaborate with project engineers to ensure correct selection of components from suppliers that meet with suitability, availability and budget targets.
• Producing complete parts lists for project engineers to aid with procurement of materials.
• Ensuring compliance of designs to current internal and British standards.
Essential Requirements:
• Professional qualification(s) in Electrical Engineering.
• Able to read, interpret and follow engineering drawings.
• Good communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and experience of ePlan or equivalent CAD packages.
• Good knowledge and understanding of relevant standards.
• Experience in the design of LV Installations. • Working knowledge of LV installations.
Desirable experience:
• Experience in the design of HV Installations.
• Working knowledge of HV installations.
• Experience in the design of Control and PLC circuits.
