Job Description

Were hiring an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading waste management company in Dartford!

You'll take charge of planning and executing both corrective and reactive maintenance, while driving improvement projects that boost reliability and reduce costs.

If you're electrically biased, hold an 18th Edition qualification, and have experience in production, manufacturing, recycling, or a similar sector this role is tailor-made for you.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be Doing

  • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections to keep operations safe and efficient
  • Respond to breakdowns and faults quickly to minimise downtime
  • Implement improvements to boost equipment performance and reliability
  • Support installations, refurbishments, and wider engineering projects
  • Keep accurate records and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Conduct risk assessments and contribute to health & safety compliance
  • Attend daily meetings and help resolve maintenance issues effectively

Hours

Day shifts: 7am-7pm (4 on 4 off shift pattern)

Pay

£52,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)

Overtime paid at time

Skills/Experience Required

  • Electrical Engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Certification
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred)
  • Solid Health & Safety awareness
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems
  • A proactive mindset with an understanding of condition monitoring and maintenance strategies
  • Good communication and reporting skills literate and numerate
