Description

As the Head of Financial Reporting and Planning you will report to the Finance Director, and will directly lead, manage and develop a team of 5 (Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners)

You will be required to:

  • Provide leadership to the finance team, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.
  • Deliver information required by Head office and the private equity business efficiently and accurately.
  • Take overall responsibility for the production of monthly, quarterly and period accounts
  • Manage the P&L and Balance sheet carefully
  • Pay close attention to cash flow
  • Undertake commercial analysis in relation to variance analysis, providing insightful, commercial commentary
  • Report numbers to the Finance Director, Divisional Managing Director and Group Head office
  • Play a key role in budget planning, financial forecasting and risk management.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and improve decision making
  • Report on operational KPIs and provide management information.

Profile

The successful Head of Financial Reporting and Planning should have:

  • Strong all round accountancy skills, particularly in managing the management accounts, P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Be able to pull together all numbers to a tight timetable, and deal with ad hoc requests
  • The ability to create powerful, insightful analysis and commentary
  • A background of dealing with Private equity or Venture Capital owners would be advantageous
  • You must be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

This role is office based 5 days per week, so you must be comfortable with this.
