Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the freight forwarding department
- Coordinate multimodal transport solutions (sea, air, road, rail) for both import and export shipments
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, documentation, and customs procedures
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and carriers
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of freight forwarders
- Manage budgets, cost control, and ensure efficient use of resources
- Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and cost savings
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in freight forwarding with a solid understanding of multimodal transport
- In-depth knowledge of import and export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in using freight management software and Microsoft Office Suite
