Gluing Operative
Location: South East England (Dartford Area)
Salary: £30,000 (Subject to Experience)
Our client, a leading company in the packaging industry, is looking for an experienced Carton Gluing Operative to join their production team. The successful candidate will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency of the manufacturing process while ensuring targets and deadlines are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain the carton gluing machines to ensure production runs smoothly.
- Ensure products are manufactured to the required specifications and meet quality standards.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with the Production and Shift Managers to address any issues that arise on the production lines.
- Assist in training colleagues and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on gluing machines to ensure they are running optimally.
- Record and report machine issues or production-related problems.
- Previous experience as a Carton Gluing Operative.
- Solid understanding of the gluing process and machinery.
- Experience with Straight Line, Crashlock, 4 Corner, and 6 Corner packaging preferred.
- Bobst experience is desirable.
- Nester/Tray Former experience is a plus, or willingness to train.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Physically capable of performing the tasks required, including lifting and bending.
- Salary: £30,000 + (subject to experience).
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
- Monday to Friday schedule with shifts available: 06:00 – 14:30 or 14:00 – 22:30.
- On-site parking.
