Goods in Controller - Crayford - 27k -29k- Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 - Full Time- Perm

About the Role:
We are looking for a competent Goods in Inspector to receive the goods in, inspect and process the required system transactions in Sage 200.
The role is required to ensure the efficient flow of work in the area ensuring there is no backlog of goods requiring goods in inspection and booking, as well as producing the required corrective action reports to suppliers where product has not conformed to the required standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Perform goods in quality inspection on all goods received according to the required company standards and inspection criteria.
* Responsible to advise the required departments and suppliers of defective product found.
* Produce and issue the required corrective action documents to the suppliers where non-conformances are found, ensuring follow up with the supplier to ensure future compliance to the company standards.
* Responsible to update and maintain, where required, the goods in process, especially in terms of inspection batch size inspection, etc.
* Perform goods in booking into the company ERP system (at this stage Sage 200), ensuring accuracy and completeness when booking in.
* Produce and provide goods in reports and inspection reports.
* Responsible to deal with any queries from purchasing related to bookings or deliveries.
* Attention to detail is a very important attribute for this position and is a key responsibility in the area.
* Obtain a forklift licence to offload goods safely.
* Responsible for Gauge Control & Calibration of measuring equipment

Candidate Requirements:
* Experience, knowledge and proficient in the use of verniers, height gauge, roughness measurement equipment, micrometer, radius gauges, etc.
* Experience related to machined components from Sub-Tier machining & Sub Contract Treatments suppliers.
* Higher level Guage R&R and or metrology lab experience in a manufacturing type environment would be an advantage.
* Experience working in a quality conscious manufacturing/ engineering environment, ideally within the engineering manufacturing sector.
* Ability to accurately work to an agreed set of procedures
* Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings
* Worked in an ISO9001 or similar environment would an advantage.
* Ability to manually measure and inspect machined parts
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages (Excel, Word etc.)
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* Experience with Sage Manufacturing or similar package
* Forklift experience (Company will provide updated training where required)
* Computer literate.
