Health & Safety Manager
Salary: £35k circa
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
Location: Crayford
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager for a construction company, based on the outskirts of Dartford
The role will involve looking after all the Heath & Safety for the company which includes managing all the files, certifications and training modules for the staff in the office and site based on occasion etc
DUTIES
- Managing all Health & safety files
- Booking updated training courses for existing staff and also for new employees and maintain files
- Undertaking training of all staff new and existing on safety practices and procedures
- Ensuring all manuals are up to date and in order
- Dealing with tenders for new work and completing Heath & Safety sections to ensure compliance and including any certifications
- Overseeing Health & Safety audits- and ensure company in compliant in all areas to maintain standards
- Knowledgeable & expert on all areas of Health & Safety in workplace to ensure all standards are maintained
- Dealing with all other associated areas of Health & Safety for the business
- Dealing with; Risk assessments, method statements, incident & accident reporting, insurance claims, ensuring employees are fully trained on policy & procedures to follow & escalating any issues.
- Keeping management up to date with all areas the Health & Safety side of business
- Some site visits may be required; M25, home counties & South & East London mainly- company car will be offered for visits
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a similar role; Health & Safety Officer, Health & Safety Advisor, Health & Safety Manager
- Preferably from a construction or similar related background; logistics, warehouse, transport, site,
- Qualified with NEBOSH and any other Health & Safety certifications & qualifications
