2 nd Line Support Engineer - Kent - Hybrid - £40,000 + Excellent benefits & Career development

Overview:

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a large MSP based in Kent for a 2 nd Line Support Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring all IT Systems are up and running and providing users with a high level of customer service. The role will cover all aspects of the internal IT systems from desktop and server support through to cloud and data centre management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide remote based end-user support to troubleshoot issues and problems with equipment and/or systems.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
  • Setting up accounts for new users.
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
  • Testing new technology.
  • Administering Microsoft 365.
  • Performing upgrades and updates to existing hardware and software platforms
  • Management of internal and hosted software platforms such as Azure/365
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience working within an IT support role.
  • Hands on experience of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, laptop hardware, Dell/HP server hardware and Azure or 365 management.
  • Good understanding of networking components such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
  • Have either managed directly or been heavily involved in software or hardware deployment projects.
