About the role:

To ensure the smooth operation of the weighbridge facility at Thames Road and act as a point of contact for our customers. This role is a 3-month fixed-term contract with a potential to extend as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directing traffic coming onto site and operating the weighbridge in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Checking incoming loads, ensuring compliance with site licenses and permitted waste types, and completing all appropriate documentation.
  • Acquainting yourself with the Council's weighbridge management system for operating the Reuse & Recycling Centre's weighbridge at Thames Road.
  • Processing delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensuring weighbridge customers are aware of site rules and distribute information and guidance accordingly.

About you:

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and have good attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a busy administrative role
  • Experience of dealing with external customers
  • Intermediate level MS Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in the Waste Industry
  • Previous experience working in a Weighbridge office environment
  • GCSE grade A-C level education
