- Assisting solicitors in handling residential and commercial conveyancing matters from start to completion.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer documents, and other legal documents related to property transactions.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, mortgage lenders, estate agents, and other third parties.
- Conducting property searches, including land registry and local authority searches.
- Managing post-completion tasks such as Stamp Duty submissions and registration with the Land Registry.
- Maintaining accurate case records and updating clients regularly on the progress of their transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
- Previous experience as a paralegal in a conveyancing department (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process, both residential and commercial.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with conveyancing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
