A long-established, family run business specialising in overnight, national, temperature-controlled deliveries of fresh produce to wholesale fruit and vegetable markets and other outlets is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor in Dartford.As Warehouse Supervisor you will:

Assist the Manager with running of all warehouse operations efficiently and successfully
Manage and monitor warehouse activities including but not limited to: receiving, putting away consolidation, picking, loading while ensuring continuity, productivity and efficiency of all activity
Direct, coordinate and monitor the daily activities & performance of warehouse workers to assure compliance of standard procedure, quality and safety.
Assure quality performance through proper staffing, effective communication and training.
Be responsible for the ownership of agency labour requirement and resource forecasting.
Continuously review procedures and recommend and/or modify operational structure to create a more efficient and productive operation.
Monitor departmental expenses and will be required to submit your labour cost on a weekly basis and be able to explain variations from target.
Enforce all policy and procedures, including safety and housekeeping, in an effective and appropriate manner.
