We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Project Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of safety innovation within a supportive, forward-thinking organisation with a global reach.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in introducing and managing our client's core safety and efficiency products for commercial vehicles. You’ll work in the Research & Development and Technology Department, focusing on product development, verification, and validation while managing supplier relationships across the globe. Your work will ensure that our client's product portfolio remains cutting-edge, cost-effective, and meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage product introduction throughout the lifecycle of commercial vehicle safety products.
- Liaise with and manage multiple suppliers across both high and low-cost countries, ensuring timely delivery of products.
- Create engineering specifications, requirements, and technical documentation.
- Support product verification, validation, and customer-specific adaptations.
- Prepare detailed component technical drawings, user manuals, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with customers, sales, and marketing teams to provide technical solutions and product support.
What You’ll Need:
- HND in Engineering or Science (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of industry experience in an engineering or technical field.
- High level of numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail.
- Strong project management and supplier coordination skills.
- Knowledge of product introduction and lifecycle management.
- Competency with Microsoft 365 Suite and other standard desktop applications.
Desirable:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Science.
- Experience in electronics engineering and knowledge of modern automotive technology.
- Familiarity with CAD development tools.

- Methodical, practical aptitude with a strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, and responsible for the quality of your own work.
- Resourceful with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Eager to learn and develop within the role.
