Key Responsibilities of Primary Teacher:

  • Design and deliver dynamic, engaging lessons tailored to the varying abilities and needs of students, ensuring each child remains motivated and appropriately challenged.
  • Teach various subjects to primary school students, fostering a well-rounded education.
  • Plan and oversee extracurricular activities and events, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm beyond the classroom.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, offering constructive feedback and adjusting teaching approaches to cater to individual learning styles.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external partners to continuously improve the curriculum and support student growth.
  • Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel respected, supported, and eager to contribute.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all activities, promote safe practices, and help students understand their importance.

Requirements of Primary Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience in teaching primary school students is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
  • Commitment to promoting a love for learning and curiosity about the world.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in primary education (desirable but not essential).
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
