Are you experienced Warehouse / Despatch Supervisor who enjoys managing and coordinating a small team of warehouse associates to ensure efficient and effective order processing, inventory management, and despatch?

This leading, expanding, and established business - based in Dartford, Kent, is seeking to employ a dynamic, forward thinking Team Leader to play a key role in maintaining high standards of performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a person who enjoys leading a team by focusing on the day to day operational requirements, through effective planning, organisation and training.

The ideal person will already possess experience gained from a Plant / Tool Hire, Construction Materials, or Engineering related (or similar) warehouse and distribution hub type of environment.

This exciting opportunity is being offered on a full time, permanent basis and the core working hours are 07.30 to 16.30, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to order fulfilment or inventory management.
  • Prepare and analyse reports on operational performance and key metrics

Key Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor in a warehouse or fulfilment centre environment
  • Existing RTITB (or equivalent) Forklift licence
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
