We are currently seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional main contractor in the Dartford/Gravesend area. The Role: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide essential support to the quantity surveying team, assisting in the management of costs and contracts across various projects. Your involvement will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget, particularly within the industrial steel frame, fit-out, and education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for ongoing projects.
  • Support the management of procurement processes and contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor project costs and assist in the implementation of cost control measures.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project progress.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial objectives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience or internships in quantity surveying, preferably within the industrial steel frame, fit-out, or education sectors.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
