Are you an experienced Assistant QS looking for a fresh challenge and opportunity to further grow and develop your career.

We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, a well-established civil engineering firm with national coverage.

They are looking for an Assistant QS to support the Senior Quantity Surveyors working on a diverse range of civil engineering schemes including infrastructure, highways and bridges amongst others.


Key duties:

  • Assist with preparing plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
  • On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
  • Feasibility studies of clients requests
  • Assist with preparation of estimates and analysing sub-contractors quotations
  • Assist with preparation and agreeing variation accounts
  • Prepare and issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors
  • Assist with providing evidence for resolution of disputes

Required Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will have be a highly organised and motivated individual with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a civil engineering environment and undertaking the commercial function for active contracts.
  • Must have some working knowledge of NEC forms.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
