We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in the education sector to to join a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor based in Dartford.
The Role: Your expertise will be key in ensuring that these projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for various construction projects.
- Oversee procurement processes and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs and performance, implementing effective cost control measures.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and address any financial concerns.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a focus on educational projects.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
