Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take on a new challenge? We are working with a national Tier 1 Property Services Contractor, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee planned works within the social housing sector in Dartford.

The Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial performance and contractual obligations of multiple projects. This is a senior-level position where you'll be responsible for ensuring cost control, value for money, and successful delivery across a portfolio of planned maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the commercial management of planned works, including budgeting and cost reporting
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
  • Preparing tender documents and evaluating subcontractor quotes
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with clients and suppliers
  • Delivering detailed financial reports to stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and contractual terms
  • Supporting project teams to deliver works on time and within budget
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the property services or social housing sector
  • Strong understanding of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
  • Excellent contract negotiation and management skills
  • Highly organised with strong analytical and reporting abilities
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualifications, with relevant professional memberships (e.g. RICS) preferred
