Contracts Manager (Electrical & Fire) – Up to £65,000+ DOE – London & South East

Location: Office based in Dartford, with travel to sites across London & the South East
Salary: Up to £65,000+ (depending on experience)

Our client, a reputable FM services provider based in Kent/South East London, is seeking an experienced Electrical / Fire Contracts Manager to oversee service, PPM, and small works contracts across key London and South East sites. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects, manage a growing team of engineers, and ensure high standards of delivery and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage electrical and fire system contracts across both commercial and residential sites

  • Lead a team of 5–7 engineers (mobile and static) working on planned maintenance, reactive works, and small installations

  • Ensure all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the correct regulatory standards

  • Monitor contract compliance with BS 7671, BS 5839, BS 5266, and other relevant regulations

  • Coordinate project delivery across key sites in South East London

  • Liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships

  • Support scheduling, resource allocation, and site supervision with assistance from an in-house admin and QS Lead Engineer

  • Contribute to the on-call rota with fellow managers

  • Prepare reports, manage documentation, and ensure consistent communication across teams

What Our Client Is Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or higher in Electrical Installation (essential)

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification

  • Recognised qualification in Fire Alarm Systems (e.g., FIA units) – desirable

  • SMSTS/SSSTS and IOSH/NEBOSH – desirable but not essential

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract or project management within electrical or fire safety

  • Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and electrical compliance

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Project

  • Experience with CAFM/estimating software (e.g., IBMS) – desirable

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and client-facing skills

  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
