As an Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial part in managing the transnational finance function within the Finance department and supporting the Financial Controller in a range of key area's managed by the Accounting and Finance Department.

Description
- The role-holder will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day accounting functions and therefore have a broad range of tasks and responsibilities which will be varied. The main focus will be no transactional level finance (Purchase and Sales Ledger invoicing:
- Raising of invoices to customers
- Processing of supplier invoices, both purchase ledger and sub-contractors
- Creation of weekly and monthly supplier payment reports
- Recording of data for inclusion in monthly payroll, and providing cover for payroll processing
- Maintenance of fixed asset registers and posting depreciation
- Assistance with internal reporting as required
Profile
- Previous experience of working in an accounts department
- Ability to work in a pro-active manner, with the flexibility to switch between tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Calm personality: able to deal with deadlines and adapt to the needs of the role as may be required
- Ability to work as part of a team and deal with colleagues and external contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Good Microsoft office skills, in particular excel and word
- Knowledge of CIS tax and reverse Vat charge (beneficial)
