As an Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial part in managing the transnational finance function within the Finance department and supporting the Financial Controller in a range of key area's managed by the Accounting and Finance Department.

Description

  • The role-holder will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day accounting functions and therefore have a broad range of tasks and responsibilities which will be varied. The main focus will be no transactional level finance (Purchase and Sales Ledger invoicing:
  • Raising of invoices to customers
  • Processing of supplier invoices, both purchase ledger and sub-contractors
  • Creation of weekly and monthly supplier payment reports
  • Recording of data for inclusion in monthly payroll, and providing cover for payroll processing
  • Maintenance of fixed asset registers and posting depreciation
  • Assistance with internal reporting as required

Profile

  • Previous experience of working in an accounts department
  • Ability to work in a pro-active manner, with the flexibility to switch between tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Calm personality: able to deal with deadlines and adapt to the needs of the role as may be required
  • Ability to work as part of a team and deal with colleagues and external contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Good Microsoft office skills, in particular excel and word
  • Knowledge of CIS tax and reverse Vat charge (beneficial)
