Vehicle Technician

My client is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their service department in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, a commitment to high-quality workmanship, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair. An MOT tester qualification is desirable but not essential.

Hours and Salary:

  • Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5:30 pm.
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays, a 4-hour shift 8 am to 12 midday.
  • A basic salary of £35-40,000, depending on experience.

The candidate we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be skilled in diagnostics, electronics, servicing, and general vehicle repairs. A positive attitude, teamwork, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities

* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

* Perform vehicle inspections and provide accurate repair assessments.

* Maintain detailed records of all work completed.

* Ensure all work meets safety standards and industry regulations.

* Work efficiently within a team and independently when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

* Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair.

* Proven experience in a similar role, with strong mechanical knowledge.

* MOT tester certification (preferred but not essential).

* Full UK driving licence (manual and automatic, no more than 3 points).

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
