Established the 1970’s, our client has grown to become one of the leading specialist engineering organisations in the UK. With Design, Fabrication and Machining facilities all in-house. They offer a full service from initial concepts right through to final delivery and installation.
We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator / Welder who has experience with power tools, hand tools, welding techniques, and mechanical knowledge. This position involves fabricating and welding various metal components to a high standard.
Main Duties:
- Fabricate large and small assemblies accurately with meticulous attention to detail, mostly in Stainless Steel
- Utilize MIG & TIG welding techniques proficiently
- Operate various machinery and equipment such as Pillar Drills, Saws, Folders, Plate Rolls and Guillotines
- Keeping working area clean, tidy & organised
- To assist in other areas as required
Candidate Skills and Requirements:
- Previous experience in MIG Welding essential, familiarity with TIG welding advantageous
- Interpret and work from technical drawings
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail whilst displaying a diverse can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn and work well unsupervised as well as part of a team
- Good reliable timekeeping
Location/Hours: Dartmouth, Devon. Mon-Fri8am-4.30pm plus overtime when required
