We are looking for a Junior Buyer who is a good relationship person and good with negotiation and delivery deadlines.

You will report to the Projects and Purchasing Manager buying products within remit, creating purchase orders and keeping up to date with industry trends.

You will need buying experience in the retail or FMCG sector product is everything!


Note it is 2 days WFH after 3 month probation.

So what will your role be?

Assist with the placement of replenishment orders, to include creating weekly ordering spreadsheet, placing supplier orders, checking pro forma invoice costs & quantities, arranging invoice payment & filing of associated paperwork

Work closely with the supply base to ensure availability is maintained, whilst managing the waste performance within budget

Manage and update an active document of POs placed and expected supplier delivery dates

Follow up with suppliers on outstanding POs

Regular collation of paid commercial invoices for reconciliation with finance

Maintain system minimum stock quantity amounts

Assist with the supplier returns process, updating the outstanding returns spreadsheet and chase suppliers for sign off and credit

Assist and support the raw materials procurement process and cover this when necessary

Interact with suppliers and warehouse on returns and stock purchasing related issues

Support the aims and ethos of the business, setting a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality and attendance

Promote and ensure the good reputation of the business and its individual divisions

What will YOU bring to this role?

Previous procurement experience within the Retail or FMCG industries

Expert user of Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and V lookups

Excellent numerical and analytical skills

Good negotiation skills

Good Business acumen

A good problem solver, with a positive can-do attitude

Able to work cross functionally

Good organisation and presentation skills
