We are currently recruiting for a large business based in Blackburn who are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the business and support the Finance Manager in the effective management of the payable’s ledger.
This business is a diverse and ever-changing environment, so is a good place to gain large company exposure and work across the ledger in this fast-paced organisation. You will be able to resolve ledger queries and build effective relationships and controls across the business to manage an effective ledger.
Duties as Purchase Ledger Clerk include: -
- Monitor the nominal ledger coding and monthly reconciliations, resolving any queries that may arise.
- Process a high level of invoices and purchase ledger transactions, on a 3-way match system.
- Accruals/Prepayments
- Support the closure of month end and provide associated reporting around aged AP items and processing metrics.
- Managing internal controls and timely reporting
- Manage the monthly movements of stock purchasing and goods and provide accurate nominal reconciliations.
- Responsible for establishing new suppliers and carrying out all associated checks and monitoring procedures.
The successful candidate will have a solid background in ledger management and be able to manage a high volume of invoices, refining control, and processes where necessary but working within a busy team environment.
