COMPOSITE LAMINATOR - UP TO £13 PAYE - DARWEN - 12 MONTHS (EXTENDABLE) 4 DAY WEEK - 37 HOURS PER WEEK (OVERTIME PREMIUM RATE) - ONSITE ROLE- SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW ONSITE MERITUS are recruiting for experienced Composite Laminator to join our clients team. You'll join the laminating fitter production team ensuring composite products are produced at good quality and durability.Responsibilities

  • Prepare moulds and work surfaces by cleaning and applying release agents.
  • Cut, lay-up, and fit composite materials, such as carbon fibre, according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Apply resin and other bonding agents to composite materials, ensuring even distribution and proper adhesion.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and fit composite components.
  • Inspect laminated parts for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and tolerances.
  • Trim, sand, and finish laminated components to meet specified dimensions and surface finishes.
  • Work closely with production team leaders and quality control to ensure all parts meet the required specifications.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of laminating tools and equipment.

Skillset/experience required:

  • Previous experience in laminating, fitting, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of composite materials and laminating techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in laminating and fitting processes.

Desirable

  • Qualified to HNC/HND/OND/ONC or degree level in relevant subject
