Location: Darwen, Blackburn
Salary: £13.80 per hour (Mon-Fri), £17.25 per hour (Saturday), £20.70 per hour (Sunday)
Hours: 47.5 hours per week (Various Shifts, over 5 days)

Our client is a leading recycling and waste management company dedicated to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Leader to oversee plant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of operatives in a busy recycling and waste management facility.
- Operate a Wheeled Loading Shovel (essential) and, when needed, a 360 Wheeled Excavator (desirable) to move materials and manage site operations.
- Coordinate daily tasks and schedules to ensure optimal productivity and minimal downtime.
- Monitor the plant's operational performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with site management to report on performance and any operational issues.
- Assist with site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Experience operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel (essential).
- Experience with a 360 Wheeled Excavator (desirable).
- Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role, preferably in recycling, waste management, or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
